Nacida en el Chaco, Paula García se instaló en Buenos Aires por primera vez en 2006 para estudiar producción musical. Así aprendió las técnicas para llevar a cabo su visión musical, sola, y sin necesidad de sofisticados estudios de grabación. Desde entonces, yendo y viniendo entre Chaco y Capital, adoptó la identidad de Sobrenadar y fue forjándola a través de dos LPs y tres EPs, autoeditados digitalmente. Y con el correr del tiempo, su trabajo fue cosechando elogios de la prensa especializada, la atención de cada vez más público y, por supuesto, la nuestra.
'1859' es su LP más reciente, y el punto más alto de esa evolución permanente. Aparecido vía Bandcamp en la primera mitad de 2012, ha obtenido ya críticas que la ubican como uno de los más interesantes nuevos nombres en la electrónica local. A la espera de su próximo trabajo, le hacemos un lugar en Mamushka a '1859', en una edición de lujo con un nuevo track, titulado al igual que el disco, que completa el viaje y nos devuelve a la tierra.

Born in Chaco, Paula García relocated to Buenos Aires for the first time in 2006 to study music production. That's how she learned the techniques to accomplish her musical style by herself, without the need for sophisticated recording studios. Since then, coming and going between Chaco and the capital, she adopted the Sobrenadar identity, developing it through two LPs and three EPs, self-released digitally. And as the time went by, her work started to win the acclaim of the rock press and the attention of more and more people, obviously including us.
'1859' is her latest LP, and the highest point of that constant evolution. Released through Bandcamp during the first half of 2012, it has already obtained several reviews that name her as one of the most promising new artists among the local electronica. While we wait for her next work, we make some room in our catalogue for '1859', with a deluxe edition, including a homonymous track, that completes the journey and takes us back to land.
